Here We Go Again!

Well, it is Friday and I find myself needing to plan my meals for next week already. That went really fast. Anyway, this week should be much easier. I am planning, obviously, to use the food I already have and just add the extras that I need. Just thinking about it I came up with about 3 meals that are fully stocked in my pantry and freezer. Woo Hoo! I am sure that once I get going I will be able to come up with a couple more too.

I did make one trip to the grocery store this week for 2 items I had forgotten to put on my list and for some great bargains on items that I couldn't pass up. So, I guess that is okay, right?

I made some very healthy Banana-oat pancakes yesterday and this time remembered to double the batch. I am stocked up on pancakes for a while anyway. Thanks to Kathy Merrill for the recipe.

Peggy Stolley had a great idea for exchanging recipes with others. I do love this idea. Please e-mail me if you have a great, somewhat healthy recipe that you would like to share with me or post it on this blog. I think that would be fun for all 4 followers to read it. LOL!

Well tonight is BLT's. We do that when Brian will be working because they are not his fave. More yummies for us!

  1. I stocked up on frozen ingredients this week, now it's on to actually writing down menu ideas. I find that even though I have the ingredients, it's hard to think of what to put together when I'm tired at the end of the day. So, your menu idea is a very sound one.
What I should do is sit down with Randy and have him help me. As much as I love to cook, I ABHOR having to come up with the meal idea itself.
I want to be just like you, Michelle... :)

  2. LOL! Nancy is having an identity crisis! She said she wanted to be just like me too. Ooh. That's because she wants to be...MICHEGGY! :)

Nancy, I agree though. The meal planning is spectacular, and I like the idea of figuring it all out at once, so if I'm tired, I don't have to think about what's for dinner. I already know!

I've been using allrecipes.com to look for things that sound interesting. Maybe that would help you gals too.
