Moxxie released the Road To Recovery collection, an elegant and poignant line designed for people fighting long-term illnesses, in July. Moxxie thought it was time to create a beautiful line that focused on healing, but also encouraged the writer to be honest about what they were really going through. The designs of this collection are versatile and can not only help a patient document their recovery, but it can also be used for get well, thinking of you, and sympathy cards, as well as to create layouts on just about any topic.

I hope you are having a great time on the hop today.  I hope you just hopped over from Cathy's blog.

I am sure you have heard this from every other design team member, but this line is AMAZING!  I want to share my project with you today.  It is a gift package to give to someone who is recovering from an illness, injury, surgery, etc.  Here is my finished basket.

I

It includes a journal book so the recipient can write about their recovery process and document what was happening to them emotionally and physically.  It also includes eight thank you cards.  Of course these can be used to send to people who give them flowers, gifts and support.

I purchased some potatoes at the local farm store just so I could get the basket.  It was the perfect color.  I added some of the die cut embellishments and some yellow string to "fancy" it up a bit.

The journal book is made from vertical index cards that I purchased at Staples.  I used the Zutter to bind the book together.  I love the die cut embellishments.  They have a border that I cut up to make the page dividers.  So cute!  Below are some pictures of the front cover and the inside pages.

I added a ribbon so it could be used as a bookmark.

The cards were really fun.  I wanted them to fit into the small basket so they are 3" x 5".  I made the envelopes out of some matching paper and wanted them to open at the top.  I added some little flower embellishments, some solid blue paper and some stamping.  All the rest is Moxxie!

I hope you liked my project and I hope you are inspired by all of the Moxxie DT blog posts.  I know I have been excited to see all of the different uses for this line.

Thanks for hopping!  Now onto Rebecca's Blog!

Until next time,
Michelle
